Question Best fitting manifold-back dual exhaust kit?

Was checking out Dynomax's 89006 kit and h-pipe, but it's listed as "universal". Truck is a regular cab, long bed/350/stock manifolds. Not looking for anything fancy, just a complete 2.25" kit that won't need to be butchered to fit well. If what I've chosen isn't the best option, I'd appreciate some input.

Re: Best fitting manifold-back dual exhaust kit?

Thanks for the suggestion. Not quite ready to spend $500+ on a custom setup unless that's my only option. Just looking to see if any decent off-the-shelf solutions exist.

Re: Best fitting manifold-back dual exhaust kit?

Stay away from the exhaust they sell at LMC!
I bought one a couple years ago and while it all bolted up fine. They advertised it as 100% bolt on, and the kit had no way of securing the exhaust to the truck. What they included to be used as exhaust hangers could not be used. I ended up taking it to a muffler shop to have them install the exhaust hangers.

Re: Best fitting manifold-back dual exhaust kit?

I've got the Dynomax 89003 kit on my '74 K20. It fit well, came with all hardware, just order mufflers seperately. I've had the same exhaust on this truck since 2002 and only replaced a couple clamps and a hanger over the years.

Re: Best fitting manifold-back dual exhaust kit?

Thanks guys....looks like the Dynomax setup will meet my needs. Going to pair this with some Thrush Hush mufflers to complete the grandpa/farmtruck vibe

I've got the Dynomax Super Turbo's on my '74 and its got a nice low rumble and quiet in the cab. The stainless tips I added made a difference too. I also ran this same setup with Thrush turbos on an old Suburban I had.
