Headlight Switch Wiring
Does anyone have a schematic for the headlight switch wiring on a 56 Chevy truck? Is there anything concerning the 56 headlight switch that would make it advisable to upgrade to a newer switch? If so, now would be the time for me to do it. If not, I'd rather keep the old switch.

I will try to remember to scan the diagram and post it next week. As long as you have the 12volt type switch, they are just fine. Unless yours is messed up, you should be fine to re-use it.

Thanks. I'm trying to get the layout of the terminals on the switch itself.
I need to know what the following terminals are: PL = ? D = ? S = ? T = ? Also, I need to know what amp fuse goes in the holder on the end of the switch.

Wanted to say thanks for the help. I have the info needed to finish the wiring on the truck. I am curious about the function of the two contacts (that look like sets of points) on the headlight switch. I've never seen this type of system on a headlight switch.
