How low is your brake pedal? Power brakes

I just went from manual to power brakes in my 71 c10. Brake rod is shorter which is nice but I want to make sure it didn’t put the pedal too low.

With manual brakes my brake pedal was level with my clutch, and rested in the bump stop. Now with adjusted rod on power brakes it’s level with the gas pedal and doesn’t hit the bump stop. Big difference, but nice to not have to lift my leg so much to change pedals.

I can get it to lock up the brakes, and It doesn’t hit the floor, but it just seems pretty close to the floor. Can’t lengthen anymore without adding threads whichill do if needed. Is this all good?

Anyone have pics of manual trans and power brakes that can show a pic of pedal levels?

The brake pedal should be the same height as the clutch pedal. If your pedal is low like your gas pedal, does the stop light switch remain in the on position, so that your brake lights are always on? My brake pedal is factory height after changing to disc brakes from drums in the front.

The light was on but it can be adjusted so it works as it should now.

So you have factory power brakes and pedal is even with clutch against the bump stop?

When brake is even with gas, it is hellacious easy to kit both petals especially with boots on.

Yes to factory power brakes, but it is an automatic. If it had a clutch pedal the two would/should match in height.
