67-72 fleetside bed differences

I've been stalled on my truck build for way too long. The bed is a mess with extra fuel filler holes, a random hole on the driver side, and a rusted out floor. I think it is past my abilities to get it back to condition I want.

I'm thinking about just tracking down a different bed and getting this thing moving again.

Other than moldings and the side marker are the fleetside beds the same from 67-72?

Early bed sides had holes to mount the molding, later beds used stick on molding clips. I found two early bed sides in very good condition for my 72, so I had to weld up all those damn holes.....

I made the mistake of welding up all those little molding holes first. Now I'm left with the hard ones. I think I'm going to weld the big ones up and see how they look. A little over my head but I may as well give it a shot before scrapping it.

Yup... 71-72. My 72 has stick on lower mouldings with screw in clips on the ends.
