1961 Apache 10 frame question
I have a 1961 that was my grandads and i have had the truck now for 15-20 years. Its been sitting in my parents field the whole time. Today i loaded it on my trailer and noticed the frame is rusted out on the passengers side at and behind were the spring sits, drivers side has a little bit coming through. Question is, how bad is it to fix or I have another 63-66 frame or back half it? I originally wanted to do it stock or close to stock. Thanks for your replies.

Re: 1961 Apache 10 frame question
That is going to be a lot of work to replace. Personally I would switch to a '63-'66 frame since you have one. Many more options available with the '63-'66 frames and easier to upgrade and modify should you decide to.

I wholeheartedly second this statement.

Re: 1961 Apache 10 frame question
It looks like the cab mounts on the frame are different but doesnt look hard to swap them. Are there any other differences on mounting the body?

Re: 1961 Apache 10 frame question
Is your truck a long bed or short bed? I have a very nice 63 long bed frame that has been sand blasted and painted. I will be getting a short bed 61 next week.
