mark IV cam retainer?
I have a mark IV 454 that I am rebuilding and installed the camshaft and was unable to find a camshaft retainer. The question is does it have one on a 78-90 454 mark IV. I have found several retainers for a 91-and up but nothing for the older engine. I have found a factory shop manual for a 87 454 and I don't see one listed. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The Mark IV big blocks did not come from the factory with a roller cam so consequently there is no such thing as a camshaft retainer for them.
