69 Chevy Restoring Column Shift Linkage
I'm trying to restore the column shift linkage in my 1969 Chevy C10 w/250 engine. Does anyone know if there is a difference in the column shift linkage for a V8 and 6 cyl? I'm searching for the linkage and want to make sure I get the right setup.

Yes they are different between 6 cyl and V8. There are also 4-bolt side plate and 7-bolt transmissions . We just got through a thread on this last week. See if this helps

Re: 69 Chevy Restoring Column Shift Linkage
Thanks for pointing me in the right direction. Bought my truck and it has a aftermarket 3 speed shifter in it, I managed to pick up some linkage but they were short. From reading the link i figure they are V8 linkage. My truck has a 250 six 3 speed with 7 bolt side cover.
