6" steelies or 8" rallies

I just installed disc brakes and have a set of rallies and steelies to fit over new brakes. I'm going to paint them white...larger tires on rallies...but steelies would look more period correct? I have this picture of the truck before lowering and disc brake installation on the wiw. I am really torn between the 2 options and need help on making a decision

Your ride, your choice of course.... but if it were mine, I'd go with the wider wheels and some beefier tires. Nothing drastic, just enough to fill out the fenderwells a bit more. Nice stepper btw!

X2, but I would paint the rallies argent instead of white. Just my opinion of course.

If it were my truck, argent rallies and white steelies with caps. What kind of steelies do you have to fit with disc brakes? In my searching it appears you need a wheel with a small amount of backspacing in order to clear the lower A arm since you have lowered it.

Re: 6" steelies or 8" rallies

THANKS.....That's all it took. Rallies painted argent silver So I will be selling the (4) 6 bolt 15x6 steelies I have from a 73-78 K5. They fit on my ECE drop spindle and brake conversion with no modifications. In addition, I have 1 set of original 6 bolt steelies white powder coated 15x6 for drum brakes with tires.

Sounds like your decision is made, I prefer steelies, especially 6’s in the front and 8’s in the rear!
