I found this on another forum....
Straight from a Chevrolet Flint Assembly Line supervisor, 1979-1986, it uses ATF!! Owners GM manual info: 4-Speed Overdrive (RPO MY6) Dexron II Automatic Transmission fluid GM Part No. 1051855
