Yep, Tim tightened the valves back down before sealing them back up. The cam is the one that was in the engine when I bought it and it was in good shape so I re used it.
Still needs some adjustments on the carb done, maybe advance the timing a bit, and gotta get the choke figured out. We have it hooked up to a hot wire right from the fuse box to the choke itself but it doesn't seem to make a difference.

I would like to thank all you guys that helped us out last night. It just re-enforces the reasons why we keep coming back to this board everyday. Some of us, a couple dozen times a day Now we gotta get the damn throttle cable thing figured out so it can be driven

Yeah it nearly did drive me nuts, and I'm sure Randy wasn't to far behind. We were Pm'ing with him for a long time, troubleshooting. I gotta say another HUGE thanks out to Randy70C-10 for all his help on Saturday night. We couldn't have done it without your help. Now I just have to do the timing advance and find a throttle cable that will work for this application. Not having much luck with that yet. I ordered one for a 72 4x4 with a 350 but it was longer than the stock inline cable. Any suggestions??
