1970 GMC 3/4 ton Axle Stamp Info?
Anyone have info as to what my diff gears are with the axle
stamp? My truck is a 1970 GMC 3/4 ton. The stamp reads.... 58 OC1 603051 6 5 19 70 A7 |

Most 3/4 ton GMC trucks had Dana 60 rears. If yours does, if no one has removed it, it will have a tag between two of the diff cover bolts that has the ratio on it.
Gotta' love Dana for doing that and you have to hate PO's for removing it...

BOM 603051-6 =1969-1970 coil sprung rear, 4.10 gearing, with a power-loc

It does still have the tags. I’ll check tomorrow to see what the is stamped on them.

One tag will say limited slip and the other 4.10
