cam help
350 stock goodwrench engine can someone suggest a comp cam hyd. that will still have good vacuum for brakes but have a slight lope thanks guys

Using stock heads, I think 265DEH 12-208-2 is a good choice. Peak power at 4500 rpm, peak tq @ 3500. 279TH7 12-600-4 (97) makes power up higher, 5600 rpm for hp and 4000 for tq. This cam really should have a looser converter to be happy.

Making some assumptions about your truck, engine and usage I agree with 1project2many. Another good one is XE256H 12-234-2
You can download Cam Quest here for free http://www.compcams.com/downloads/register.asp That way you can enter your exact info, very easy to use. To keep good vacuum and driveability be accurate with your usage choice. That engine only has 8.5:1 compression
