Re: cruise control question

anyone have a wiring diagram, vacuum diagram, and some detailed pictures? I am looking at adding cruise to mine, and have most of what I need I think....just have to get it installed is all. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Re: cruise control question

I have a shop manual for a 78 (the old style) and can make some scans if you need it.

Re: cruise control question

I think it would be the old style version I need......it came off of an 83? or 84? I believe, but it is still mechanical, and will be getting hooked up to some Dakota Digital gauges in the end. But all will run off of cable I think.....or is it easier to hook up an electronic version? Which ever will be easier, but currently have the mechanical.....

Re: cruise control question

The manuals are available in PDF...
The 1979 Light Truck Service manual has a pretty decent section on the 68-81ish CruiseMaster and the GM Service Training textbook is pretty decent as well.

Cruise III can be repaired and used but the parts availability is spotty.
The Cruise III service training manual is available in the manuals post as well.

RTFM... GM Parts Books, GM Schematics, GM service manuals, and GM training materials...Please include at least the year and model in your threads. It'll be easier to answer your questions.
And please let us know if and how your repairs were successful.
