Ign Unfused for radio?
Hey could I use the ignition infused spot on my fuse block for my stereo ?
The radio tab is messed up and my ign unfused are empty. Thanks |

Re: Ign Unfused for radio?
I guess I’m asking , would it be safe. Is there any reason I should not do it?
Thanks |

Re: Ign Unfused for radio?
If it's a digital unit the clock will only go on when the Key is On. So it will likely read 1200 all the time. If you're running an analog radio, then it's all good. Unless you want to shut the engine off, and listen to the radio while parked.
Safety is no issue. Perfectly fine (with an inline fuse.) That slot might get a little crowded if you also use it to feed a tap for 12VDC to HEI. [But they make ''Two-fer'' terminals -- one female with 2 males out].

Re: Ign Unfused for radio?
Is there a reason why you can't or won't use the factory radio wiring??
