WTB Complete front 5lug disk brake crossmember

Any of you local fellas have a complete bolt in five lug disk brake crossmember assembly for sale?

I have a buddy hemming and hawing about buying my 72 K20/10 burb but he doesn't want 4x4. I talked to Livrat about the conversion process, I think he's the king of conversions. I believe he said its going to take the drilling of 46 holes for this. I have his old templates where he converted more blazers than probably anyone.

So I'm doing the grunt work and seeing what I can come up with to make my buddy not so apprehensive about this deal. Any sort of shipping would make this absolutely not worth while.

Well good for thought, it’s 12 bolts for the crossmember, 2 for the idler arm. I’m not local but do have most of what you need. You can get the whole setup from a square body, and if he wants to stay 3/4 and 8 lugfront end will bolt in also

No he wants to convert the whole thing to half ton. He can get five lug axels to replace the six lug axels that are in the rear now. The burb was a K20, now it has K10 axels.

And I think the whole conversion process (now that I think about it) was 46 holes. That includes shock mounts etc etc ... the works.

And yes square body works up to a certain year.

Square body will work till the end of them. Only difference was in 80 they went to a metric power steering box. My 68 frame has a 88 c20 crossmember under it. Just wanted to give more information to hopefully make it easier for ya. Also when I went 2wd to 4wd my upper shock mounts worked perfect but I don’t know the other way around. Don’t forget you’ll need a 2wd gear box also
