Bed wood stain question
I planed my barn wood bed wood and deciding on a stain for it. I found a stain I like but it's a indoor stain so looking to use this and then coating it with something for the outside to protect it. What are your suggestions? Can I even use this?

Re: Bed wood stain question
never built a truck bed but I build cornhole boards on the side for people and I a similar stain for them and coat them in a UV protectant polycrylic and they hold up fine. Granted, a truck bed will see more wear/weather so there may be a specific finishing protectant geared towards truckbeds possibly a marine finish.

Re: Bed wood stain question
Use a marine grade clear varnish or u will be doing it again in just a couple yrs. I use Epifanes high gloss clear varnish. Only place i found it was on line. Buy two qts. Expensive but worth it imo.

Re: Bed wood stain question
You might get away with less if you have a bed tonneau cover.
