Tilt Column, auto, the real deal....presale
“The Real Deal”...I kind of hate that term but it does have the right connotation.
This is a truck tilt as evidenced by the lower mounted backup light switch with the corresponding tab to activate it on the shift tube. It also has the correct short steering shaft which does not have a groove for a retaining ring at the end where the wheel mounts. Motor home tilts usually have a short steering shaft along with a retaining ring groove. Just picked this up last night from a friend, he had is stored in pieces in the back of his Volvo station wagon. I’m offering it for sale now because of interest via PM’s. I just ordered parts for it, they should be here late next week. New parts include Turn signal switch Lower bearing and retainer parts Shift lever and knob Turn signal lever Tilt lever Shift pointer Backup/neutral safety switch Upper and lower grommets Parts alone cost about $160ish Completely disassembled, bead blasted, painted gloss black, lubed reassembled and set to factory specs. $550 shipped Here is a review of the last tilt I sold. http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...56#post8541856 Last edited by randy500; 06-13-2019 at 06:45 PM. |
