Vehicle VIN decoding
Can anyone within this vast welth of knowledge help me decode my VIN so I can find out what the origonal configuration of my truck was? or is there a web page I could go to?

9 = ? typo?? S = 6 Cyl Gas 1 = 1/2 Ton 4 = Pickup Cab With Bed 7 = Model Year ('67) 1 = Assembly Plant - Oshawa last 6 digits are vehicle serial number so... 112541 = 12,541 unit built Is the Glove Box Option Sheet still visable? If so there should be a model number there that you can have decode a little further... If not you can (for a fee) get a GM of Canada Resto pack that will give you all that info if you tell them your Vehicle Vin #...

The questioned 9 stands for GMC in this case. Note it was built in Canada by the Oshawa assembly plant.
