Door Window Channel Guide

I’m struggling to find the rear guide for the window channel. i’m able to find the front piece all day, but the rear has been difficult. I searched here but old threads said the same thing.

I’m beginning to wonder if they are the same piece front to back. (47-50)

If you have any info please let me know. Thanks for the help!!

I'm confused by what you mean by "rear guide" - you mean the channel itself? 47-50 is a one-piece channel that with hooks at the front and rear bottoms to secure it. You can see it in this picture:

Re: Door Window Channel Guide

Ahh yes... sorry.
The terminology used by different vendors make things a bit ambiguous. I should have been more clear.

It seems that the “window channel” refers to the felt covered corrugated steel that hooks in the front and rear bottoms as you described.

The “window channel guide” is the rear bottom I’m looking for. (Circled in red) I may have to cut down a readily available, front “lower glass run post”.

Re: Door Window Channel Guide

I googled 'chevy truck window panel guide' and found this.........

https://www.classicparts.com/1947-50...ctinfo/03-916/

This is the old 'Chevy Duty' now called Classic Parts. A little spendy but if it gets you out of a bind.

Paul's Pickup Parts might have one.

The "MT AZ" in your photo is Mother Trucker out in the west side of Tucson. He'd certainly have some. I see him posting occasionally on the talk.classicparts.com boards for ADs or over on Stovebolts

Re: Door Window Channel Guide

The Filling Station does show rears either left or right. Next to the bottom on this page https://www.parts123.com/parts123/yb...efx~~~~A50~A41

CD-113L for left CD113R for right.

They do show a different pn for the front ones.

I've found that if it exists at all for an AD truck they list it. They may not have everything on the shelf but their online catalog is a good resource.

Outstanding!! I don’t know why I’ve never come across the filling station before but that’s a book mark for sure!!!

Another good source for parts: http://truckandcarshop.com/

Channels are on page 55 in the 47-59 catalog.

Re: Door Window Channel Guide

It’s funny how the rear guide for the 51-55.1 is available but the 47-50 is far more elusive.
