Help on front hubs?

Hey all,
I have a 87 silvarado 4X4 just checked my auto hubs and the small bearing on the spring is gone, don't know how long, have not used 4X4 since Feb. I am leaving on Sat. on a 720 mile trip. Question, is my transfer case full time or part time? Every one I have talk to say's 208 and it looks like a 208 but I checked the tag and it say 203? Very confussing. Could be a miss print in the stamp. I want to put warn hubs on and I think it would be pretty simple if it is not a full time transfer case. If it is full time do I need a kit of some kind to make it part time.
Thanks in advance
Mike

Your '87 has a 208 unless someone has changed it. It is part time. The last year the 203 was used was 1979.

Does it have a slip joint in the rear of the transfer case? If it does it's a 208 as the 203s would have a yoke.

Is your transfer case aluminum? The 208 case is aluminum, the 203 is cast iron.

Also, you cant use manual locking hubs if its a 203 unles you change it with a part time kit. Like mentioned above, look for a slip joint or yoke at the rear of the TC.

Good luck!
