What do the other sides of the visor look like?

Of all of the colors red is the most susceptible to UV impact including fading.
Chemicals are added to paint, colored plastic to inhibit fading due to UV.

Looking at the pictures it looks like edge trim piece is orange, and the rest of the visor plastic is red. There is a probable explanation. The edge plastic trim did not have enough UV inhibitor in the plastic resin when it was made in comparison to the rest of the red plastic in the visor.

For a 50 year old plus visor the red that is shown is in great shape!

They probably are red ive been welding all day and my eyes are probably not right, I've ask a few friends that stopped by and they said they looked red to them..
