square to round eye nose swap

Been looking for a c10 and I find a lot more 81-87's with the sharper noses and fenders than I find 73-80. I prefer 73-80.
If I bought a 81-87, how difficult is the nose swap?

I know you'd have to swap the obvious stuff - fenders, hood, grill, headlights....
But is it more involved in that? Radiator support, wiper cowls, etc? Is it worth the effort or just wait to find what I'm looking for?

Thanks!

Which direction does that picture depict? 70's nose with 80's body, or vice versa?

We all get lucky, sometimes. I had a repop tailgate on Jeep CJ that fit nicely, and looked legit. Too bad it dents leaned against.

Re: square to round eye nose swap

If you look at my thread "rebuilding my 1977 plow truck" I put a 81 cab together with a 77 front end. There are some things that have to be addressed with the fender to cab mounting.

Re: square to round eye nose swap

Ken's latest build did the swap as well & highlights some of the issues faced...
