Cab Floor Question?

Can someone tell me what these mounts under the gas tank are for in my cab? I have had a couple cabs with these mounts and not found someone to tell me what they are for. Thanks

Re: Cab Floor Question?

Cab bracing. The outer holes with the captured nuts are where the cab mount bolts come up from underneath.

Re: Cab Floor Question?

Would you know if they put this bracing in certain models or years? I’ve only seen it a couple cabs that I have had. Thanks

Re: Cab Floor Question?

I had a 67 that had it and a 71 that doesn't. Probably trying to save on metal in the later years.

Re: Cab Floor Question?

This pic is of my 68 cab but my 70 does not have them so maybe it is a 67-69 style bracing for those years.

Re: Cab Floor Question?

I also have a 1968 that has them. They had these thick tar paper pads for the tank to sit on. I bagged those up to save since I'm going to under bed tank.
