drilling a new hole might be easier if you can get the right reamer for the taper. I had a pro welder do mine, and then i welded 1/8" plates on both sides.

Thank ,yes I will let you know how it steers. If I do have it drilled and tapered , I have a machine shop do it. Either way i’m Not going to tackle this.
