63 c10 flasher issue

Alright so first I want to say thanks for all of the info. I've been a long time creeper. And have used tons of info to get my truck up until this point. So here is my problem and I'm just curious if anyone else has ever run into something like it.

So small back story I bought this 63 back in February. Drove it home. Some of the stuff worked some didn't. I've added a header, rebuilt exhaust, new carb, new gaskets, 5 lug swap, bags up front. It actually runs pretty sweet. Last thing on my list was to fix some of the wiring. And when I pulled the harness out from under the dash it pretty much fell apart. So instead of replacing it I figured I would try my hand at building my own harness. I replaced the light switch since it was stuck and didnt work, the turn signal switch since it was broken, and all the wiring between the firewall and lights. I've cleaned instrument cluster and they all seem to work. Rewired the ignition switch. Now comes to the issue.

When the key is in the on position I have power traveling down the pink wire to the fuse box from the ignition switch. And off that fuse box I'm running the flasher for the turn signals. And the rest of the stuff that would have been run by the pink wire. With the turn signal switch in the neutral position the flasher is flashing. But I have no power at the lights. I can disconnect the harness going to the rear from the firewall and the flasher stops. But, I still have no control from the switch. I can pull the fuse from the flasher and it turns off. The only thing original from the fire wall back is the plug at the firewall. The sockets are new and so is the harness going forward.

Hope thats not to confusing. Everything else seems to be working aside from it charging but Ill remedy that with an internal alternator. maybe related?

Re: 63 c10 flasher issue

Just disconnect the connector for the direction switch. Take out the flasher, turn on your ignition switch, and use a jumper wire to connect the pink wire on the fuse box (where the flasher was) to every wire of the turning lights on the connector of the direction switch(one at a time). The colors should be dark blue, light blue (front) and green and yellow (back).
Doing this you can check every turn light separately. If they all work your problem is somewhere between the flasher and your direction switch.
It's also possible that you mixed up a connection somewhere when you replaced old wires. I don't know if a 63 still has the direction switch on the column with the cable to the lever. But if it has, check if the switch on the collumn is in the middle when your direction lever is in neutral.
