Help me identify these steel wheels
I apologize if this has been covered before but I could find a thread that talked about this.
I starting to stock pile several 16 inch, 6x5.5 steel wheels but none two are the same. I am trying to get a full set of one of the two steel wheels in the attached photos. Can someone help me out in telling me what years these wheels are from? I read that the four slotted version is 47-54 and the 8 slot is 55-59. Does that sound correct? The center hub on both of these designs have a very slight "bee hive" design in them. [IMG][/IMG]

Re: Help me identify these steel wheels
the 8 slot is a 1937-1938 chevrolet car "artillery", which doesnt have the normal crimped artillery appearance but is still called an artillery.
