Arrow August 2019

Our Truck of the Month (ToTM) theme for this month’s contest is

Armada!

In case you cannot guess thru our semi-sorta nautical reference, this month is dedicated to our fleetside or wide bed trucks. In order to compete in this month’s contest, you will need to meet the following criteria:
  • Open to all year fleetside trucks.
  • The nominee must be a board member and the current owner of the truck.
  • The must be together and able to move on its own power.
  • The truck has to be licensed for street use.
  • If a truck was selected as a 2018 or 2019 TOTM winner then you are ineligible. If the truck was nominated but not selected as a TOTM winner then it may be nominated and compete in this month's category.

To Nominate:

You or someone else may nominate the vehicle. The nominee must be a board member and the current owner of the truck. Once you decide on who you wish to nominate, just add your nomination to this thread. We will need two pictures minimum, at least one full view of the vehicle. In addition, we will need the owner’s board name and the Make/Model/Year of vehicle.

Nominations will run through July 24. The first 15 nominees that meet the criteria will participate in the contest We will need two pictures minimum (at least one full view of the vehicle) with/for the nomination as well as the owner’s board name, the Make/Model/Year of vehicle. I will PM the nominees to get any additional data or pictures if they have not already been provided. If the owner has a preferred picture they want used in the contest, please let me know in a PM. You can PM me for an e-mail address in case anyone has problems resizing the pictures for the board. A Poll Thread will be set up June 25 in this board area and an announcement will be posted on the Discussion Boards to notify all that voting has begun. The Poll will run thru the morning of August 1 and the official announcement of the winner will be on the evening of August 1. The announcement of the TOTM winner will be posted through the General Discussion Board area.

I will throw my girl in the mix... she made the sail from Cali to Hawaii Dec 2016 - Jan 2017 and... she sits on the beach, on an island in the middle of the Pacific just about every day! And, Her owner (me) is retired Navy! That's as nautical as it gets.
oh and... she is a DAILY DRIVER!!!

I’ll give it a shot- started life as a 59 longbed and ended up a shortbed +6”s to get the proportions correct. 350/350 with a 9 inch in the back.

Re: August 2019

I'll throw my truck in the ring since I've never entered Truck of the Month ever before.
Family owned since 1975. Rare Canadian built GMC 9310 (1/2 ton short box) Wideside with many factory options including radio, passenger visor, cigar lighter, deluxe trim, deluxe interior, deluxe heater controls and the coveted bedside trim offered to GMC in the Oshawa, Canada plant in 1959.
It's as close to original as I wanted to keep it. All stock frame and drive train with a few cosmetic changes.

Re: August 2019

Here's my 66 C10. It's been in the family since 1985. Original Custom. Factory AC and power steering.

Complete restoration, all done in my shop including bodywork and paint. Air suspension, cruise control, remote start, rear mounted fuel tank.

It took me 13 years, on and off in between other people's projects, to complete.
