73 G 10 rotors on 69 C 10
Has anyone ever used a 73 G10 van rotor on a C10 to convert to 5x4.75 bolt pattern? I see new van rotors can be purchased from RockAuto.
I would like to convert my truck from drum brakes and 6 lug wheels to the smaller passenger car 5x4.75 pattern. This would offer a better choice of wheels including wheels I already own. The rear would be easy by swapping in a passenger car rearend. I am looking for info on how to accomplish this, I thought I could use the van rotors and C10 disc brake spindles. I am not interested in using 5x5 wheels or a bolt on wheel adapter. |

You would be better off going with a kit from one of the many vendors (some on this board) that do this every day....
Swapping in a car rear end is no piece of cake either....simpler to have your original axles re-drilled to suit new wheel pattern.

Other thoughts...
Moser was selling "C" clip axles for $260.00/pair. You can have them modified for a little extra. finding drums would not be that hard, or drilling your old drums |
