Problem with upper ebrake cable anchoring
Recently installed all new brake cables in my 65 c10. All works good except the upper cable will not anchor securely in the clamp that holds it just below the pull handle. No matter how much I tighten the bolt, it slips through when I pull on the handle. The rubber coating is getting shreaded from slipping in the clamp.
Has anyone run into this issue & found a solution? Any info, suggestions, or help is greatly appreciated. Thanks

Re: Problem with upper ebrake cable anchoring
I had that same problem several years ago, mine broke so I tried about 4 or 5 new rep pops....nothing worked, so I found an nOS on eBay and paid way to much but it worked! Oh, I also changed from the 65 to 66 ebrake setup also.

Re: Problem with upper ebrake cable anchoring
My 66c10 was a long bed. When I cut it the kit came with a new cable.
