Gmc 340
howdy all, been awhile since I had posted anything here. I managed to find this GMC 340 series truck. hoping maybe someone can shed some light on this thing. no title and cant find a VIN plate for it anywhere. it does have a 270 ci engine in it. I put a battery in, pulled the chock, and it fired right up. I do have more ill put up later.

Re: Gmc 340
you have a picture of the serial number plate in your pictures.
that said, sometimes old trucks were titled on the motor number. you will find it on the flat pad behind the distributor. if you are trying to find the number on the title somewhere on the truck, if it has "270" in the title vin somewhere its probably the engine number livemeyer will love to see your truck, he is trying to piece together a 55.2 and they look to be based on the AD series GMCs, the front frame section and rad support are AD pieces with the TF sheetmetal attached.

Re: Gmc 340
I was wandering about it going off the engine number as I looked at yesterday and this is what I found stamped E 2708 86488
