Motive gear axles

I am working on converting my 68 rear to 5 lug, and will be using conversion axles. I found the below set on summit for $90 each: $180 for the pair. I am just unsure of the quality of motive gear? Does anybody have any feedback on this brand? I don’t mind buying more expensive name brand axles but the price difference is roughly $80 cheaper than moser axles. Thanks for any insight.

I ordered some but have not installed them yet. Cheaper on Amazon or eBay

Thanks Jason. I might give them a shot as well if I can find some feedback on them.

Re: Motive gear axles

I've used their ring and pinion with no issues. Still have the one I put in my GMC many years ago...

I have read mostly good things about their ring and pinion sets. Thanks for the info. I will probably order them from Summit in case a return is needed.

Re: Motive gear axles

I didn't read all the details, do the axles you are looking at specifically fit your 68 rear end AND are for converting to 5 lug??? Just to make sure.

A good friend on mine's son built a 67 and bought the Moser axles, had to call them for the 5 lug conversion...

I've heard good things about Motive Gear, here, and from others...

Yep, they are for my 68, 30.5” long and 30 spline. They are 5 lug axles as I’m converting to 5 lug, but my current setup is 6 lug. I haven’t found much on the axles specifically but lots of good reviews on pinion and gear sets. I just don’t wanna go and try to save $80 bucks and then spend that and more in shipping them back.

Motive axles will be just fine. They are a reputable company.
