Oil
What zinc additive are you running in an older engine? Not ready for a roller setup just yet.

Re: Oil
I run AMSOIL Z-Rod in my K20. I've attached a technical bulletin with the zinc levels of AMSOIL products that flat tappet engines would benefit from.
FWIW here is a list of 40 oils and their zinc levels- your current oil may be on the list already and easy to compare to others. I don't know when the last time it was revised or if the composition of the oils listed have changed since this was put together. https://pantera.infopop.cc/topic/eng...esting-results If you're looking simply for the ZDDP additive, there are a few sources. Eastwood https://www.eastwood.com/ew-zddp-oil-additive-4-oz.html Summit Racing https://www.summitracing.com/parts/isk-zddp I'm sure there are others as well.

Re: Oil
I run lucas. You can buy it at Orileys off the shelf. I run 1/4 bottle per 5 qts which is about 1250 ppm.

The Dreaded OIL THREAD !
Pretty much any C / CJ Diesel rated oil is what you want .
As mentioned, good quality oils (synthetics) are vastly better than the paraffin based crap your engine was designed to use so just keep it full and HOT CHANGE THE OIL & FILTER on a regular basis and the engine will outlast you unless you abuse it .
