65 c10 overdrive help
Quick question about the overdrive relay. I can't get my relay to actually operate without external power. Schematics say that power should come from the ACC on Ignition. I'm only getting 6 volts. When I bypass and run a wire from batter to relay it works and my overdrive is alive again. Thoughts? First instanct is that I have a bad ignition switch. This switch DOES crank the truck very well. Thanks for the posts.

Re: 65 c10 overdrive help
If I had to guess, the power wire would be the problem. There is only one wire going from the ignition switch to the overdrive relay. This is a factory original truck. Overdrive hasn't been used since Nov '76.

Re: 65 c10 overdrive help
See what you think of this. I traced the power wire back to the fuse box. Any ideas or suggestions?

Re: 65 c10 overdrive help
Check the inline fuse and see if the contact points are rusty. It's the white tube looking thing on the green wire
