will wheels fit the same on '67-72
Will the wheels on 68-72 C10 fit my 67 C10 Step Side with everthing being the same sizes..like the Back Space; Off-Set; etc, etc ...In other words if I see a set of wheel and tires on one of these year trucks that I like the way they fill in the wheel well/fender, Do you know if I will have the same look/fit on my 67?
Or if not all these years do you know which year will fit the same, maybe the 68? |

If your truck is original still you will need 6 lug wheels .

No, they won't all fit the same year to year. Halfway through 1970, the rear ends got wider by about 1.25" (slightly more). So assuming both had factory 12 bolt rears, the backspacing on a 1971, for example, would need to be 1.25" more than a 1969 in order for the outer lip of the wheel to be in the same spot.
Many times it doesn't matter, and the space can accommodate a few different backspaces, but if the outer lip is too close to the fender on the early model year, it'll be even closer on later model years with the wider rear. 67, 68, 69, and some 70s should all fit the same, assuming they have the original rear. |
