72' Jimmy Rear View Mirror and Frame Horn Cuts

Looking for OEM mirror for my 72' Jimmy —driver quality to NOS okay. Note this mirror mounts on a bracket--it does not glue to the windshield. Also need last foot or so of both sides of rear frame--the penultimate PO had cut the rear to install a step bumper and am missing the frame horns. Thanks in advance. Martin

Interestingly the rear view mirrors were moved from the header to the windshield for the 72 model year. I had a 72 K10 where a PO mounted an earlier style mirror to the header. If you want the correct mirror for 72 it's going to be the glue on style affixed to the windshield.

I've got a used oem 72 mirror. Glass is decent. Think it has one fuzzy spot going off memory. I can pics and a price tonight.

Thanks for the good info Pete— I had assumed my mount was correct—due in part to some conflicting erroneous prior posts. I love learning about these rigs!!!

You bet. If you notice the header above the wnidshield is smooth. It you looked at a 71, there would be a boss in the header where the mirror attaches. The mirror is yet another year specific detail for 1972 trucks.

And easier yet to mount the bumper like the earlier blazers with sport bumper brackets. With that style mounting not sure if 72 splash shields mount up the same.
