Crossmember

To get a 5.3L and 4L60e to fit, does the crossmember have to come out?

Re: Crossmember

Yes remove the bellhousing crossmember. It is not needed for an auto trans and it will just be in the way.

Re: Crossmember

I have a crossmember for the auto tranny.

I had to remove the manual tranny crossmember like y’all suggested. I also had to disconnect the e brake cable while maneuvering engine and transmission in.
