The seat riser in my 47 (2) is pretty rusted and has been modified. Is there anywhere to get another, or do I need to fab something up. This is for the stock AD seat.....

Unless you know someone removing the stock riser or anyone cutting up a cab, I don't think there's an aftermarket replacement.

My dad had taken mine out in the 70's for bucket seats. I had to take a spot weld cutter and chisel to another cab that was being parted out.

It's very common for the S10 conversion guys to use those mid-90s C10 seats. I'll bet if you asked on the S10 Swap forum many of them would have their original seat riser laying around.

They are a bear to take out though.As Jweb said spot weld cutter and chisel. I've got some that would be free if you took one out but real expensive if I did it.

I ran an air chisel under mine - came out surprisingly easy.

So did I but it didn't look too pretty. The one in my cowl donor cab would be a simple one as I have to take it out to cut across the floor anyhow. Trouble is it is buried in the shed I need to tear down.

I have a stock seat riser from my old '46 that I found because it didn't have one. The flange on it is a little chewed up - probably from someone else using an air chisel on it.

Too bad you're as far away as you are.

My ongoing truck projects: 48 Chev 3100 that will run a 292 Six. 71 GMC 2500 that is getting a Cad 500 transplant. 77 C 30 dualie, 454, 4 speed with a 10 foot flatbed and hoist. It does the heavy work and hauls the projects around.
