Trey, the 8k tach/clock dash would cost you $550 shipped and you will have to change your wiring harness out to make it work correctly! LMK, thanks for your interest Les

Re: V8 tach dash with clock

I can say one thing-----the tach dash I bought is sweet. Works perfect and looks awesome.

I had an idiot light dash and rewired it in an afternoon with the instructions on GMC Paul's website.

Re: V8 tach dash with clock

Also, a note to anybody swapping in gauges. If your temp gauge stays pegged hot, add a ground wire to the back of the gauge and connect to the body. Took me 2 weeks of searching to find that solution.

Out of curiosity, where did you buy your clocks?

The quartz clocks are from late 70's to mid 80's Chevy trucks, the early 70's clocks did not have the quartz movement and hardly ever work!

Re: V8 tach dash with clock

Very nice work.

Have you looked into an electronic speedometer retrofit that uses the stock truck gauge face? A little less money than an external speedo Cable-X like drive box when using an electronic trans without a mechanical cable speedo output.

Re-screen gauge face for 120-mph and stencil lens numbering to match or re-calibrate electronic speedo to read right for the 100 mph markings on our stock speedo.

Thanks for the information but I don't do too many instrument clusters anymore, this thread is from 2013! I still stamp the inner and outer tins if anyone wants them done
