Re: Should I keep this '75 stock?
Ha! Yeah. I go back and forth. I told myself I'd put it out there, and if it's meant to be and someone buys it, then so be it. I gave it a week. No one bought it so I am going to keep it, lower it, redo the interior, and drive it around for now. You guys have been a great resource and help. Appreciate all the input.
I'll post more once I get it insured and get goin on her. |

Re: Should I keep this '75 stock?
Looks to me like it's got later mirrors on it already. I'd say configure it to be how you want to drive it. It's a well cared for work truck and it would be cool to keep some of that character, but I think it will look better without the rack and big industro-bumper. A clean stock-style interior will keep the character even if you add creature comforts. I would lower it 2/3 so it looks stock but the wheel/wheel-opening proportions are better.

Re: Should I keep this '75 stock?
Clay bar the paint. Pull the door panels to remove the door handles & mirrors. Pull bumpers & grill. Now lightly polish & then put at least 4 wet coats of Meguiars #7 glaze https://www.autogeek.net/meg7showcarg.html w/24 hours between coats. Top w/sealant or real carnauba wax. That paint will glow for years more. Now for my end I would lower it 4/5 & add deep dish Cragar SS for that 70's look.

Re: Should I keep this '75 stock?
I vote for keeping it as much stock as possible. That’s a time capsule right there!
