mounting trim with 3M tape questions?
For those that have mounted their molding trim with 3m trim tape, does it stick well? There is not alot of surface for the tape to stick to on the edges on the trim, and I want to know how well it works. I really do not like clips.

I would also like to hear comments on this- I just mounted my trim with 3M tape- seems to be holding okay so far.

I've had mine on for about 8 months now.
The trim is still tight againt the body.  I recommend it FULLY!! Here's a pic I took last week(just pretend the hockey stick isn't there  ) A close-up

I put my tailgate trim on with it about a year ago.I was concerned also about the small contact area. I built up the inside area with a couple layers of the tape, to give some more contact area. That might be overkill, but it still seems to be on there really solid.It could get expensive to do a whole set of trim that way tho.
