update on damaged fenders from the truck shop

well i called this morning, took me 1.5 hours just to get through (had busy signal from 9am-10:30) then i spent another 20 minutes on hold.

anyways the lady told me that they hadnt had a problem with their fenders being wavy/bent up front around the grill area. she said i could bring them by to have them inspected and if they are damaged then theyll swap them out for me.

not too bad i guess. im sure they were just trying to get rid of the bad quality ones at the show since lots of people dont live locally and wouldnt be able to return it.

BINGO!!!! People like me from Az arent gonna drive up their to CA to trade them,id spend more money in gas/time/food/hotel than fenders are.when at swapmeets and know your quality stop look at their give away price stuff, usually you get the inside wrapped one,and you think cool i can toss it with the other junk and it wont get hurt, ive heard that they are wavy, and more body work than buying a used fender and having it done, but havent dealt with it myself on big items, well yeas i have 79 Blazer goodmark trim, sucks

I'm really not trying to start trouble, but let's be careful about accusing people of things. That's a pretty serious accusation, it's called fraud, and if you have proof of it, I'd call the local DA. We all need to watch out for people who are unscrupulous, but being sloppy isn't a crime.
I do appreciate the heads up on poor quality parts, I've had a few bad experiences, and if they hadn't been worked out to my satisfaction, I'd have posted negative comments about the vendors.

no its not fraud. they are giving you the item you want and your are able to inspect it if you choose.

anyways they swapped both fenders for me, i was able to get a passenger one near perfect but as for the drivers side i only got one slightly better... they were nice guys and at the price of $100 a fender it aint bad, your not going to find used ones this straight for this price.
