Now my post was edited for abbreviating a common curse slang, now Democratic politics are getting involved? Something certainly stinks around here lately, getting awfully ridiculous with moderators in control of threads. Think I need a long break from this place

Here's a old "Firestone" Radio probably from the late 40's to early 50's, not knowing what it was out of I researched it and found it was a under dash add on called a Firestone 4-B-31 “Roamer" I got it with a gaggle of parts from a old hotrodders grandson after he passed, he was going to **** can it.

Ended up horse trading it to a guy that collects old car radios. Glad I saved it and so was he.

I don't know about all that. I looked into it and it's not like that. Folks have to realize what they see done by moderators is as much action taken per complaints of other members as it is action on what they see. "Family friendly" is a very broad scope. Like everything, some see grey areas while others see black & white.

Taken at a family reunion. Uncle John (left), Cousin John (center), and Dad (right). The joke between these old guys is when they were kids, their Grandma would make Cousin John wear a bonnet outside because he had pale skin. She wasn't worried about Dad and my Uncle John. Well, someone brought a bonnet to the family reunion and Cousin John wore it most of the time.

I love these old men!

Alfa Romeo museum, Milan, Italy. Little 2.6 liter DOHC V-8 engine. (2.6 liter = 159 cubic inches; 197 CV = 195 hp.) Check out the tiny headers and all the cast aluminum parts. Pretty cool for 1970 technology!

We were eating those all weekend, minus the pastrami on the boat at Don Pedro. Went out for my 50th with 9 in our boat and 4 in my buddy's Craft Fleet Jet. 90 degrees on Friday, 66 on Saturday and and icicle hanging off of the drain plug this morning at Twain Harte.

Here's a pic from the road that I accidentally took on the way to Hollister earlier this year. Was trying to call the wife but snapped the shot instead. Hwy 25 - San Benito Co.

We thought we'd just get a little mud to ride in. The boy and I got pretty soaked. Not a dry spot on either of us after an hour of riding.

I may or may not had edited it, if I had seen it. However it was edited, and not heavily. If you think that's a reason to go political, then yes a break is a good idea..

Hedman stainless headers. Old Air installation in progress. 1982 Custom Deluxe 10 SWB -- converted from 250-six to roller cam 350 w/ Vortec heads -- sold 1981 C10 Silverado LWB, 305, TH350C -- sold, but wish I still had it! 1969 C10 (not the current one) which I bought in the early 1980s. Paid $1200; sold for $1500 a few years later. Just a hint at the appreciation that was coming. Retired as a factory automation products salesman. Worked part-time over the years for an engine builder and a classic car repair shop. Member here for 26 years! This is the very first car/truck Internet forum I joined.
