Need pics of 230/250 engine mounts

I'm about to start mocking up the engine and transmission in my '66 and I'm starting from scratch with nothing to go by. I bought it as an unfinished project so I didn't have the privilage of taking it apart myself. It's a bare frame, and I've got a 250 engine block, and a T56 six speed. I've got perches and new motor mounts, but I'm not sure what set of holes to use on the frame rails or crossmember for the perches. It looks like it only goes together one way, but I want to make sure before I make my transmission crossmember for the T56. I was thinking that an inline 6 used the foward set of holes on the frame rails, but the perches I have only line up with the rear set of holes. The guy I bought it from was going to put a V8 in it, so maybe I have V8 perches? Or are they the same as an I6? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

those perches are all the same. the exception is the right 292.perch. i6 mount in the forward 2 holes. what doesn't line up with them?. perhaps a picture from you showing us. perhaps those are not the right perches-different years

Re: Need pics of 230/250 engine mounts

Here's what I've got. Disregard the extra holes that have been drilled, the PO did that before I bought it.

Left picture is the driver side, right picture is the passenger side.

These two pics show the holes in the crossmember and frame rails.

These two show the perches aligned with the rear holes.

These two show the perches alignes with the front holes, but nowhere to mount the bottom holes on the crossmember. I can drill holes, but since it had a 250 from the factory, shouldn't there be holes here?

Re: Need pics of 230/250 engine mounts

Thanks Sig!! I was thinking that inline 6's used the front set of holes for some reason, that's where the confusion came from.

Thanks Ron, I did some digging around and found a pic of the '65 I redid before I took the engine out, and it was also in the rear holes.

They have to be better than the ones I pulled off my blazer. How much will it cost to take them off your hands.
