Re: Door Assembly...the EASY way with Pictures

I got the glass back without the rails. Tried to set it up your way which didn't work so I put them in loose to go up and down to see what the problem was. Got 1 try and it still bound itself up right where that short rail is that I pictured above. I could slide the glass a little sideways, but then that bottom rail that gets glued to the glass would dig into the felt on the vent window side. So I took it all apart again and put in the original glass. Same issue, but when trying to roll it back down to get a better look, the new window reg blew the guts out of the handle shaft backside. Now I'm thinking the window reg was wrong the whole time, but that does not make sense.
I also found that someone drilled the rivets out of the vent window pivots before and the pass side they drilled to big. That explains why it was so loose. Now I can't finish that because I can't find a 67 chrome vent glass frame. I'm going bonkers.

10/22/19 Summit had the pass side reg in stock. Installed it and everything works. Too bad I had the bottom glass rails removed. So I am now convinced it was the reg the whole time. I won't buy from the place I got the replacements from any longer!
