72 -C10 - Inside the Cab /Gas Tank Modification

Hello All,

I’m currently in the middle of LS - Swap, need some help with setting up my fuel system. I want to continue to use my spare tire space for the actually spare tire. Lol. I currently use it now. I love it. I’ve had 2 flats already life saver. So that’s being said - I want to use the gas tank inside the Cab. I’m building a 6.0 liter with a Holley Sniper System.

I know I will need a new gas tank but modified heavily. I’m thinking buy a new gas tank and weld bung fittings in few places. I want everything thing to be -6AN fittings. Also the external pump - what kind and manufacture. Also all lines will
be steel - braided. Since my truck is a 72, my gas tank is Different. It would very helpful to get some direction. I want to have multiple fittings on the new gas tank but where. I’m willing to spend the money for the mods. I want to be a clean and safe setup and not smelling gas inside of the cab. I drive the truck everyday now. I don’t smell gas inside the truck now and it’s completely stock.

There is another thread on this site where the member used the same tank with the original fuel sender but modified the sender so that it would accept the fuel pump. It was pretty slick.

Re: 72 -C10 - Inside the Cab /Gas Tank Modification

I will have a in-cab tank fuel system coming out of my swap soon if you'd be interested. I will have a modified fuel sender to allow for a return, frame mounted pump, and filter. All of which will have AN6 fittings. PM me if you'd be interested in it.

Re: 72 -C10 - Inside the Cab /Gas Tank Modification

It was intended to be temporary until I could recoup come money and get the tank out of the cab. That was my only reason for selling. I bought the setup from another member here and it has very little use.
