Stepside with a 400?
Bought another truck the other day and haven't got it home yet. The truck is a 70 GMC Stepside.He told me that it has a 350 2 barrel with a 400 tranny.
My question is, did they offer a 400 tranny in the short stepsides?

My 70 GMC stepside with 350 came with a 350 tranny, but I don't know the answer to your question. I like your taste in trucks tho!

Dean I am on here at least three times a day checking things out. I just don't post much. I let the more knowledgeable folks take care of that. I will post some pics of the stepside when I get her home. I sure hope you can finish your step before I get mine done!

My 67 came factory with a 283 and a 400. I bought it from the grandson of the farmer who special ordered it this way (283, th400, 4.11).
