Hey, I know this thread is about trucks, but tell him to sell me that porsche.
Ill fix it up for the wife. If he is just gonna let it rust away that is.

I hear you Scott ;

I hate that it's visibly rusting, he makes over $87K / year, maybe not much $ to many here but well over twice what I ever made in a single year .

A guy I know told me he'd give my son $32,000.00 for it sight unseen and I told him thinking he'd grab it having a house, kids and so on but no....

Go figure .

He did take a few vintage VW's, good .

I wonder how much will be left by the time he decides to touch it again .

I agree, we cannot expect our children to have the same interests as we do, my father was a world famous Oncologist (and jerk to boot), we shared very little in interest so I understand my son's lack of interest in all my old cars, parts, tools, books and crap .

I've tried to get him interested in selling it all off, nope, not interested so it'll all go in the county dump after I'm dead I guess .


SWMBO keeps telling me to get a few (!) roll off dumpsters and pay someone to empty out the house, garage and back yard, be done with it all but I grew up with nothing and worked oh so hard to get all this junk, now I have difficulty letting go if it .

I've been giving away Motocycles and parts here and there for a good twenty years and haven't made a dent yet .

Sigh .

I really like hearing about an 18 Y.O. Woman taking interest, that's great .
