Spring question, level it off
Hi guys, my son and I are working on my pickup truck so he can drive at 16. I need new springs up-front. My son likes the stock height so that's easy but we wouldn't mind leveling it off in the back, while still being able to haul a load of mulch without worrying about riding axle. Is that possible? What drop do I need in the back to just level it off with new stock front springs? Thanks

Re: Spring question, level it off
Perhaps you won’t want or need to drop the rear.
New front springs might raise the front a bit. Do the front first and give it a few months to see if it settles a bit then decide on the rear. |

Re: Spring question, level it off
Yeah I was kind of thinking about that cuz the back one's got compressed over time I'm sure. I'm guessing I might as well change the shocks up front while I'm at it, along with the bushings. Hopefully that tightens everything up it's loose now, very loose

Re: Spring question, level it off
What else should I replace when I am doing springs. I am going to go ahead and do shocks, and I know my Sway bar bushings are shot. Should I go ahead and do the other bushings and tie rods?

Re: Spring question, level it off
So i got the springs / shocks / bushings done and by leveling it off both sides are a little higher and the 1.5 inch drop from front to back doesnt look bad at all. Getting new tires all around this weekend, that may even help.
Also got the carb back, she is running and driving well. Wish I had a before pic of the lean, but its easy to see that the spring needed changing
