AC Hose swap? Opinions welcome
I have been posting a lot more as I am finally getting my C10 back in shape. Its an AC Cab. Since I am swapping the gas tank (see other thread) I thought while it was stuck in the garage I would clear coat some rusty spots and freshen up the Dash Gauges. I did them last night with orange paint and wipe down. I am short an LED or two and have a couple of sockets that arent working right so waiting on those to come in tomorrow.
My question is, while I have the Dash out should I go ahead and replace the vent hoses? and if so Plastic or cloth covered? I hear some rattling in them when the fan is on but looking at them they look to be in decent shape, and I hear it can be a little trying. My other thought was to run the fan and get a shop vac or two out and put them up to the vents while the trash is being pushed around. Any ideas? I know someone has been in this spot. thanks!

Re: AC Hose swap? Opinions welcome
Most times it's inside the box on the passenger side in the fan area also on the outside behind the passenger side hood hinge. It's a little time consuming job but it can be done.
If the truck has sat for a long time best suggestion is pull the boxes a part and clean them out good.

Per the measurements I gave them. Ride height of truck inside spring and inside diameter of springs. |
