Bed Floor Question??
Hi all.
Can anybody tell me if the corrugated steel floor in our trucks is the same as the corrugated steel floors in the 73+ trucks. The very rear edge of my Blazer has a couple of rust out areas about the size of a quarter. I was wondering if I could use the rear edge of a 73+ truck as a donor. There is only one decent 69-72 pickup around here in the yards and the bed on it is not too bad. It would be a sad waste to cut it for patch panels. There are tons of 73+ trucks around and the pattern in the floor and across the very rear edge looks to be the same. Wasn't able to do a side by side comparison. Thanks.

They are different. I would snatch up any good floor you can find. The also sell patch panels, they are 16x48"

Thanks Gee Emm. I haven't seen any patch panels with the finished ends at the rear of the bed. Do they make those?

AND INCORPORATE IT INTO YOUR REPAIRS, JUST A THOUGHT. ( PAGE 33 )

I thought about that, but the only problem is, I have a '72. The tailpan is different on the '72. There are two cutouts that go around where the frame comes out of the back. On 69-71, they are straight across, no cutouts. The ones in LMC are 69-71 type.

The floor can be removed from the rear cross sill, they are two different pieces. Not sure what this piece in LMC looks like, is it part of the floor or a replacement cross sill?
